Joni Ilmanen is a photo- and videographer
based in Turku, Finland
I got my first DSLR camera back in 2015 when I started to photograph my friends and nature as a hobby. In 2019 I made my Instagram account @picturesbyjoni and started to post nature and wildlife pictures. My pictures got a lot of attention in social media and I quickly gained thousands of followers and likes. I worked as a photographer for the Finnish Defence Forces in 2020 for eight months as a part of my military service.
In 2021 I established my own photography company and since then I have been working with numerous clients ranging from private persons to large companies.
I have a lot of experience in commercial, event, real estate, portrait, landscape and wildlife photography. Nature and wildlife photography has been my hobby for many years and my pictures have been featured e.g. in National Geographic, BBC Earth, Sony Alpha's social media channels, Suomen Luonto magazine and Visit Finland's social media platforms.
Some of my clients include Bo LKV, Brand Bustle, Flowpark, Harjattula Golf & Country Club, Kultaranta Resort, Life, Lumo, Rakant, Rakennusliike Hörkkö, Suomen Lattialämmitys Asennus and many others.
I have a huge passion for photography and I love tackling versatile projects and finding new ways to exceed my clients' expectations. With my gear I can capture stills and motion both from ground and air. I'm based in Turku, Finland but available to work around the globe.
